Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Shea's has announced its latest centennial collaboration, teaming up with Hartman's Distilling to make Shea's Centennial Blend 285 Special bourbon. There's a unique story behind the bourbon itself. During the 2024-25 Broadway season four barrels of bourbon were nestled inside the chambers of Shea's Mighty Wurlitzer organ. The centennial bourbon was then bottled from those barrels. A release celebration is being held September 5th from 5:30-7:30 at Hartman's.
Erie County collected record income from visitors in 2024 according to new data from Visit Buffalo Niagara. Tourists spent $2.7 billion in Erie County last year, jumping 7.2% from 2023. Food and beverage sales took up the biggest piece of the pie, with $1.14 billion in sales, followed by $509 million spent in retail.
Six Flags Darien Lake is hiring more than 200 people for the fall season. Entertainers are needed for Halloween-themed events, as well as costume designers and make-up artists. Ride operators, admissions attendants and security are also needed.
