Anovion lands significant grant funding

Sanborn-based Anovion Battery Materials has received a a $117 million grant through the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Business First reports the company manufactures synthetic graphite for lithium-ion battery applications and Department of Defense applications.

Atlanta-based retailer Floor & Décor Outlets of America Inc. will open up shop at a Thruway Plaza outparcel in Cheektowaga.  Business First says the company bought the site for $1.3 million.  Construction should start this fall, with a summer 2023 opening planned.

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center President & CEO Candace S. Johnson, PhD, was named an Advocacy in Action Award winner by Western New York’s HOME - Housing Opportunities Made Equal.

HEALTHeLINK is a Phase 1 winner of the Building Bridges to Better Health: A Primary Health Care Challenge sponsored by the Health Resources & Services Administration.  The challenge goal is to enhance access and care coordination to achieve better health and reduce disparities utilizing technical assistance solutions.
