The press runs for some local community papers will soon end. According to Business First, the Twin Cities Sun and Lancaster-Depew Sun will fold January 22nd. The West Seneca and Orchard Park Sun papers will will merge into one paper. Dwindling readership and advertising support led to those decisions.
Software company Tonquin will open up a Buffalo operation. The company provides a logistics management and last mile delivery platform that is used by brands like Advance Auto Parts and Napa Auto Parts. Tonquin connects its growing community of gig drivers to the enormous demand auto parts suppliers have for commercial delivery drivers.
NOCO Energy has bought up Shanor Electric Supply, an electrical distributor and lighting supplier headquartered in Kenmore. Terms of the deal were not publicly disclosed.
