Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Southern Tier Brewing Company is teaming up with the National Comedy Center to raise money for ALS research. Southern Tier Brewing has launched Bit by Bit Blonde Ale at their taprooms, the National Comedy Center and at local stores, with proceeds benefiting ALS Therapy Development Institute and Sean M. Healey & AMG Center for ALS at Massachusetts General Hospital. The name is a reference to comedy "bits" and the bits of progress being made in the fight against ALS every day.

The 44th JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge takes place Thursday night in Buffalo at Delaware Park. The 3.5 mile race begins at 6:25 p.m. with more than 7,000 employees across 247 companies participating. Buffalo Public Schools, Kaleida Health, Citi and M&T Bank are among the companies with the highest amount of entrants.


ECMC has promoted Cassie Davis to COO. Davis will take over the role from Andrew Davis next Monday. Andrew Davis will move from COO to President & CEO of the hospital that same day. Cassie Davis previously served as Senior Vice President of Operations for ECMC.
