Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - One of the hottest tickets of the season returns to Sahlen Field Saturday with the 17th edition of Star Wars Night. First pitch against Syracuse is at 6:05 p.m. as the Bisons will take the field in front of a packed ballpark in black and red Darth Maul-themed uniforms. A new attraction for this year: A Millennium Falcon Bounce House. Gates open at 4:30p.m.

Valu Home Centers is collecting donations of pet food and supplies Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at its location at 620 Dick Road in Cheektowaga. It's part of a multi-year partnership with WNY Food for Paws. Adoptable dogs and cats from 716 Paws, Open Arms Rescue, Buffalo Animal Shelter and Paws in the Falls Rescue will also be there.
The Buffalo Center for Health Equity has received a $3 million grant from the Mother Cabrini Health Foundation to support the Upper Broadway Fillmore Transformation Project. The project intends to address inequities in the neighborhood, which would include starting a resident-led Neighborhood Council.
