Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Jericho Road Community Health Center is getting state funds to help employees move up. Over the next five years, more than 55 staff members will be upskilled, with medical assistants becoming Certified. LPNs will also be able to pursue becoming Registered Nurses. Funding covers tuition and employee salaries while they're in school.
The New York State Innovation Summit is happening Wednesday and Thursday at the Buffalo Convention Center. More than 550 tech leaders, researchers, investors and economic developers will be there discussing economic growth in New York State.
Canisius University is launching a new major in Law, Policy and Philosophy next fall. The major is geared toward students looking for careers in government, public policy, public affairs and advocacy.
