Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - New York State's Office of Parks is hiring new officers due to several changes to hiring guidelines. Applicants need to be at least 20 years old. The maximum age for applicants has been expanded to 43 years. It was previously 35. Anyone interested must have an associate's degree, military service or local police training. Applications are being accepted through February 18th.

ConnectLife is teaming with the Buffalo Sabres for a holiday blood drive at KeyBank Center's 1970 Club Tuesday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Donors will receive two tickets to an upcoming game and a Sabres t-shirt.

Erie County has recorded its 103rd $1 million home sale of the year, this one a five bedroom house on Curry Lane in Clarence that sold for $1.2 million. 103 such sales have shattered last year's record of 83.

In other real estate news, five doubles in and near UB South have been sold to a group of investors for a combined $875,000. The homes were on LaSalle Avenue, Minnesota Avenue and Shirley Avenue.
