Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - The 42nd Running of the Subaru Buffalo 4-Mile chase, will be held Friday night at 7, beginning on Elmwood Avenue at Bidwell Parkway. The race has brought in around 35,000 participants from 30 different countries and all 50 states during its history. Runners can register at 11 Friday morning on Bidwell Parkway.
SUNY Niagara has received a $50,000 grant from Lumina Foundation after participating in an Instagram competition. Colleges across the country were asked to submit 90-second Instagram videos about what makes their school great. SUNY Niagara, formerly NCCC, is one of just seven schools across the country to receive the grant.
Como Lake Bark Park in Lancaster is looking for submissions for its annual dog calendar. Thirteen dogs total will be featured, with the most popular pooch, as voted on by the public, being featured on the cover of the calendar. The other 12 will be included inside. You can submit a photo to gogophotocontest.com/comolakebarkpark for a $5 fee. Submissions are due August 2nd.
