Highmark Inc. has announced the completion of its affiliation with HealthNow New York Inc. Under terms of the agreement, the organization will be branded Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York and Highmark Blue Shield of Northeastern New York. Dave Anderson will step down as CEO at the end of the year. He is relinquishing his role as President of Highmark Western and Northeastern New York to Michael Edbauer.
Construction started this week on the new $12 million Lancaster Village Center. This first phase of the mixed-use development will feature six retail outlets and 19 apartments on West Main Street. Completion is expected in early 2022. Construction financing is being provided by BankOnBuffalo.
