Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo-based marketing firm The Martin Group has purchased Mr. Smith, a creative, brand strategy and content studio headquartered in Western New York. All eight Mr. Smith employees, including the company's founder, will join The Martin Group. Financial terms of the deal weren't revealed.
Another marketing agency, 19 Ideas, is launching Startup Wednesday tonight at 6 at The UB Incubator on Ellicott Street in Buffalo. Seventy people involved in startups are getting together to pitch ideas and network over a four-week period. The program will end with a pitch competition with $5,000 in prizes.
Hilbert College has named Dr. John Olszowka Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. Olszowka previously served as VP of Strategic Initiatives at Mercyhurst University.
