The national average price for a gallon of gas is $4.05, which is down eight cents from last Monday. One year ago, the price was $3.16 and The New York State average is $4.11, down two cents from last Monday as gas prices began to drop last week following a sharp decline in oil prices after the announcement of a two-week ceasefire between the U.S. and Iran.
The Buffalo Club has agreed to pay $1.5 million to settle a pandemic loan allegation. The club applied for a Paycheck Protection Program loan back in March of 2021 and after receiving the loan, the Club sought and received forgiveness of the entire loan amount and according to U.S. Attorney’s, the club falsely represented its eligibility to receive the loan because it operated as a private membership club that restricted membership for reasons other than capacity.
After years of planning construction has started on the North Aud Block project, which is said to bring more than 200 affordable apartment units and commercial space at Canalside. Director of development for Brooklyn-based Pennrose Development Will D'Avella said financing for the project will be finalized in the coming weeks and work will start soon after.
