A slight change in plans for the Ferris wheel meant for Riverworks. Business First reports that the original site couldn't handle the weight of the 5-ton ride. So, the Ferris wheel will now be constructed closer to the silos - atop the RiverWorks' "Stonehenge" biergarten. Plans for the Ferris wheel and other attractions planned for RiverWorks are expected to be filed with the City of Buffalo by early January. If approvals are given, the Ferris wheel could be operational by Mother's Day weekend.

Earlier this week, Harris Hill Nursing Facility, operated by The McGuire Group, became the first nursing home in Western New York to offer monoclonal antibody infusions for the treatment of high-risk COVID-19 patients.


The Post Office is hiring in Buffalo.  There is an opening for one career automotive technician at the Vehicle Maintenance Facility on William Street.  Scheduled work hours are 3-11:30pm Monday through Friday.  Starting annual pay is $46,394.  The application deadline is January 10th, 2021.  Interested parties should apply online at www.usps.com/employment
