Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign raises $112K for ECMC

Representatives of ECMC Corporation, ECMC Foundation and area Tim Hortons restaurants recently celebrated another successful Smile Cookie campaign supporting frontline care services at ECMC.

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Tim Hortons' annual Smile Cookie campaign raised $112,404 for ECMC this year. It was the ninth-straight year Tims and the hospital partnered on the campaign, generating over $1 million during that time.

UB will hold open interviews for campus dining and shops this Thursday, July 23rd from 11am-4pm on the first floor of the Walden Galleria near the Apple store. They're looking for more than 75 employees to serve as chefs, supervisors, assistant managers, line cooks, cashiers and more. Jobs will be offered on the spot.


The Independent Health Foundation has received a $375,000 grant from the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation for its Soccer for Success Program. That's enough money to provide 4,500 kids ages 5-13 access to soccer programming between 2027 and 2029.

A new yoga studio called Kali is opening at 2629 Delaware Avenue in North Buffalo. The address was previously home to a Metro Mattress location.
