Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Trocaire College is freezing the tuition rate for new nursing students beginning in the fall semester. The offer is available for first-time freshmen only. After earning their RN degree, students will automatically be accepted in the school's bachelor degree program without their tuition being increased. Trocaire President Dr. Bassam Deeb says it will help address the increasing demand for nurses, allowing students to work in the field while completing their full degree. The application deadline is July 15th.
Orchard Park's Providence Farm Collective is appealing a decision by the USDA that cut off $750,000 in funding for the farm over DEI concerns. The appeal says the USDA's reasoning isn't factual and the funds were properly used.

Veterans and employees of BankOnBuffalo will be at the intersection of Ridge Road and South Park Avenue in Lackawanna Thursday collecting donations for the renovation of the Bett-Toomey Marine Corps Detachment 216 in Lackawanna. The fundraiser was arranged by Veterans Post Restoration of Erie County.
