Local gas prices saw a two cent drop this week according to the AAA. The current average cost for a gallon of unleaded in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls area is $3.34. Gas prices locally have only dropped by four cents in the past month.
Some changes for developer Douglas Jemal's Elmwood Avenue-Bidwell Parkway project. Business First reporting the cost has swelled from $15 to $25 million - mainly due to construction costs. Jemal wants to build a five story building with 48 apartments instead of four stories with 34. The Buffalo Planning Board will give its review this afternoon.
A sixth Pita Gourmet is in the works. The newest restaurant will be in a former Pizza Hut at 5565 Camp Road in Hamburg. A May opening is planned.
The search has begun for a new executive director to lead the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy. After serving in that role for nearly nine years, Stephanie Crockatt has taken a new position in Sarasota, Florida.
