According to Business First, Williams-Sonoma Inc. and Pottery Barn will close their stores at the Walden Galleria January 31st. Those two stores are being courted by the developer of Amherst's Station Twelve at the site of the former Northtown Plaza. Retailers L.L. Bean, B. Good, Public Espresso + Coffee, Banana Republic and West Elm have already committed to opening at Station Twelve.
Through its Operation Santa Claus, the Basil Family of dealerships is partnering with Buffalo F.A.T.H.E.R.S. and Spectrum for toy donations. The deadline for toy donations is December 16th at each of the ten Basil locations. Basil is also purchasing Christmas dinners for hundreds of local families who otherwise would not be able to enjoy a holiday meal together.
