Excellus Healthcare, the parent of Univera Healthcare, finished 2021 in the black, according to Business First. Excellus had net income of $117.6 million on revenue of $6.6 billion. From 2020 to 2021, the company's medical benefits spending increased by 12% or $635 million. Last year, Highmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Western New York, reported a loss of $58 million.
West Herr Auto Group recently presented a $50,000 to the African American Veterans Monument at the Buffalo & Erie County Naval and Military Park. This first of its kind in the country monument recognizes the contributions of African Americans who have served and are currently serving in all five branches of the military. Construction will begin once the weather clears and it should be finished by this September.
Now until March 15th, Shamrock Shakes are back at local participating McDonalds. Twenty-five cents from each Shamrock Shake purchase will go to Ronald McDonald Charities of Western New York.
