Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Vidler's in East Aurora is celebrating its 96th anniversary tomorrow. They'll be handing out slices of cake to celebrate and giving dimes to kids to ride on the store's mechanical horse, Sandy. Vidler's opened during the buildup to the Great Depression and is still owned by the Vidler family through three generations.
The Kenmore Farmers Market opens for the season Sunday morning, June 21st, at 9 on the Village Green in Kenmore. Almost 60 local growers, producers and makers will be there on the first day. Opening day also includes a collaboration with Kenmore Porchfest with live music throughout the morning.
Buffalo Public Schools will hold open interviews for school bus aides next Saturday, June 27th from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at Waterfront Elementary School at 95 Fourth Street. Job offers will be given on the spot. Pay starts at $19.75 an hour.
