Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Villa Maria College has launched a new Crime Scene Investigation program. Students will get more than 400 hours of hands-on CSI experience and will be required to complete a 120 hour internship. Villa Maria has purchased new equipment and made lab improvements for the program.

The Erie County Fair is calling on builders, welders and hands-on creators to participate in this year's Skilled Trades Competitions. Craftsmen can submit anything from overhauled machinery and equipment to livestock feeders, and even various kinds of trailers. Registrations must be made by July 14th.


The former Conlon's Bar & Grill in South Buffalo will reopen as Gordon's Tavern after being sold to new owners. Co-owner Clayton Waliczek told Business First the plan is to make a space that isn't so rowdy. A porch will be built at the back of the restaurant for live music and trivia events. The new owners have funding in place from M&T.

Food Truck Thursdays begin this week in Niagara Falls, running until August 28th. A weekly schedule of participating restaurants is available at NiagaraFallsUSA.org.
