Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Visit Buffalo is extending an olive branch to possible Canadian tourists with new billboards on Highway 427 and Gardiner Expressway in Southern Ontario. The billboards say "O Canada, We're Still Singing It, Love Buffalo." Visit Buffalo says the billboards are building on last Thursday's performance of Canada's anthem before the Bills' home opener.

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will host a Medicaid Collaborative Wednesday with the goal of educating local groups about work and volunteer service requirements that are coming in the new year for some Medicaid recipients. The hope is organizations that attend will be able to help people who are on Medicaid find a job or a place to volunteer.
Buffalo General will have a new name in January after West Herr CEO Scott Bieler and wife Kathy made what Kaleida calls a "transformational gift" to its Kaleida Health Foundation. The hospital will be known as Scott Bieler Buffalo General Medical Center. The gift will be used to replace laboratories in the Gates Vascular Institute, add new surgical technology to eleven operating rooms, and bring on board a Da Vinci surgical robot to be used in minimally invasive surgeries.
