Walden Galleria Extends Hours For Week of Christmas

Great news for those that are behind on their holiday shopping as the Walden Galleria announced yesterday that beginning this Saturday the 18th hours of operation will be extended from 9am-9pm Saturday through Thursday the 23rd, and 9am-5pm on Christmas Eve. The Galleria will be closed to shoppers on Chrstmas day, save for a few restaurants that will remain open for dining and takeout.

Niagara Falls is getting its first new hotel since 2017 with the 120-room Cambria Hotel Niagara. The project will cost $18 million and according to developer Choice Hotels International Inc., there could be more Choice branded hotels heading to the Buffalo Niagara region post covid. The hotel will be located at 311 Rainbow Blvd. and is expected to open in mid-2023.


And as wintry weather settles in over Buffalo fire place sales are up, though the supply chain may be about to slow down. Southtowns Fireplace in Hamburg is one such business experiencing both extremes, with a 30% growth in 2020 from the year prior and in 2021 leveling out to pre-pandemic standards. As the price of essential materials increases, there are some products that may not be available to store owners until March or April.
