Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Subaru executives are traveling from Japan to Lockport to celebrate the grand opening of the new West Herr Subaru Thursday afternoon. West Herr will also donate a new Subaru Forester to People Inc. at the event. The vehicle will be used to transport members of People Inc.'s Young Adult Life Transitions Program. The new location is at 6856 South Transit Road in Lockport.
Catholic Health has appointed former Kaleida executive Victor Filadora as its new Chief Physician Executive. Filadora also worked at Roswell for 15 years in several high ranking positions.
Trocaire College has been awarded a $216,000 state grant for classroom and laboratory upgrades for its new vet tech program, as well as its existing echocardiography and surgical technology programs.
Per Scholas, a New York City-based company that trains people in IT, cybersecurity and software engineering, is expanding into Buffalo. The move to the city was partially influenced by Buffalo's new "Tech Hub" status. Training applications are being accepted until September 30th.
