Dr. Johnson has served as president and CEO of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center since 2015, where she also holds the M&T Bank Presidential Chair in Leadership and is a professor of oncology. The first woman to lead the historic cancer center, Dr. Johnson guided Roswell Park through massive growth, expanding immunotherapy, cellular therapy and community engagement while attracting world-renowned clinicians and scientists to Western New York.

A new nonprofit educational glassmaking facility is planning to open the city’s first publicly accessible hot glass workshop on the second floor of Buffalo’s DL&W Station.
Buffalo Electric Glass is set to have a 15,000-square-foot facility that will introduce visitors of all ages to glassmaking through 1-on-1 hands-on experiences, live narrated demonstrations, and artist-led programming.
Designed around all-electric glass melting and reheating technology, Buffalo Electric Glass will operate, what is planned to be, the world's most sustainable hot glass studio, advancing a new chapter of innovation in a region long powered by renewable hydropower. Buffalo Electric Glass is anticipated to open in early 2028, coinciding with the completion of the entire second floor redevelopment of the DL&W Station.

McGuire Development will be investing $14.19 million to convert the historic Dun Building on Pearl Street into a 36-unit apartment building.
McGuire bought the Dun Building from developer Paul Kolkmeyer in September.
The Dun Building was constructed in 1893.

Newmark Ciminelli has been retained by Orion Properties to find a tenant, or tenants, for the former Ingram Micro regional headquarters on Wehrle Drive in Amherst.
Ingram recently moved its regional offices into the former Highmark Building just behind Buffalo City Hall.
The Wehrle Drive building has 170,000-square-feet.

D’Youville University has, once again, been recognized among the nation’s top NCAA Division II institutions for academic achievement, earning the Presidents’ Award for Academic Excellence for the third-consecutive year.
D’Youville has earned this honor every year since becoming a full-time NCAA Division II member, underscoring the university’s sustained commitment to academic excellence.
The award honors Division II athletics programs that achieve an Academic Success Rate (ASR) of 90% or higher, a distinction reached by just 43 colleges and universities nationwide. D’Youville recorded an ASR of 91%, placing the Saints among the most academically accomplished programs in the country.
