Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Two teachers at The Strong Museum of Play in Rochester have been fired, just days after workers began organizing a union. The Civil Service Employees Association says Sarah Tubbs and Johanna Kapaan were fired without a full and fair investigation and their ouster was an act of unionbusting. Workers have sent out a petition to help reinstate Tubbs and Kapaan.
Catholic Charities of Buffalo has launched its Winter Needs Drive, going now through February 14th. Hats, coats, gloves, socks and anything else you think a family might need during the winter is being accepted. Donations can be made at Catholic Charities' Administrative Center on Delaware Avenue and at Urban Valet Buffalo at 620 Elmwood and Urban Valet Hamburg at 106 Evans Street.
