Western Regional OTB has purchased the Hotel at Batavia Downs from a local investment group for a reported $7.5 million. Business First reports the 84-room hotel opened five years ago. The hotel overlooks the horse racing track and is connected to the track's casino.

The WIC program of Catholic Charities of Buffalo was awarded a $55,000 Advancing Health Equity to Achieve Diversity Grant from the National WIC Association. The grant was one of only seven awarded in the country.
