The sale of Erie County homes going for north of the $1 million benchmark continues - following a pattern that's been in place for the past few years.
In the latest deals, recorded in the Erie County Clerk's office, a circa-1850 era farmhouse in Concord sold for $1.15 million and a decade-old house in Orchard Park went for $1.45 million.
The Town of Concord deal was the first residential transaction in recent memory where the sale price exceeded $1 million.
Located on 70 acres of land at 6244 Genesee Road, the house has three bedrooms.
And, in Orchard Park, the sale of a house at 4 Evergreen Trail marked the 10th time this year a house in that town went for more than $1 million.
The 5,000-square-foot Evergreen Trail house, built in 2015, has three bedrooms.
Thus far, Erie County has seen 21 homes sell for more than $1 million, which is considered a key economic telltale sign within the regional economic development industry.
That translates to a $1 million house in Erie County selling once every five days this year.
Last year, Erie County set a new benchmark for the sale of $1 million-plus homes with 105 recorded in the clerk's office.
This year, Erie County is trending towards 73 $1 million-plus home sales, which is more in line with recent years.
