NEW YORK (WBEN) - According to Governor Cuomo, who held a conference call with reporters Thursday afternoon, the positivity rate for the Western New York region is 4.8%.
"Western New York has been and continues to be the problem," said Cuomo, just one day removed from announcing orange zone restrictions for much of Erie County.
On a statewide level, Cuomo said the positivity rate with micro-clusters included is 2.7%, and with the micro-clusters not included, the rate is down to 2.3%. The governor also announced that 31 New York residents died on Wednesday.
