OPINION: Dear Mr. President - Open letter from Bauerle to Biden

Tom Bauerle

Mr. President:

I am fully vaccinated American and am not frustrated or angry with my fellow citizens who have chosen to NOT be vaccinated.

You do not speak for me, and I resent your attempt to do so.

I believe that as free citizens Americans should not be forced to have something injected into their bodies by compulsion or coercion, which I believe violates the Nuremberg Medical Protocols of 1946.

What makes me angry is not medical choice of my fellow citizens, but medical mandates over a disease that is eminently treatable and survivable, and which poses a statistical zero threat to young people of school age.

You are not taking into account acquired immunity of people who beat COVID, nor did you mention the resurgence of new COVID cases in highly vaccinated Israel.

You have urged people to follow the science, and the science is clear that the frail elderly are at the highest risk for COVID and children have a far greater risk of dying from drowning than from COVID.

You did not mention the increased efficacy of therapeutics, as doctors have learned more how to treat COVID, and you still promulgate the myth that common cloth masks do a thing against COVID.

Furthermore, you ridicule the conclusions of trained physicians who dare to differ from the Fauci and mainstream media as "conspiracy theorists."

You bewail patient care while these mandates will result in fewer health care workers because many of these one-time heroes are now regarded as medical imbeciles incapable of making their own decisions regarding the jab?

You actually believe the economy is robust under your stewardship, when working Americans are seeing their dollars buying less and less?

And you speak of borders?

How many illegal invaders have been untested and sent around the USA by your flaccid administration?

Perhaps I missed it, but will people receiving Federal benefits be compelled to be vaccinated?

Or Federal inmates?

Do you even believe in a free nation of independent citizens capable of making decisions for themselves?

Will this go as smoothly as your magnificent leadership of the withdrawal cluster in Afghanistan?

What a sad day for America, where "my body my choice" apparently only applies in some circumstances.

To the unvaccinated: this vaccinated American is not frustrated or angry with you, but respects your right to make the best decision for yourself, especially over a disease that is not plague or smallpox, where 98.5% of the most vulnerable who contract it survive.

Your dictates (whatever happened to Separation of Powers?) make me sad for the future of this country, and I pray that critical thinking soon returns.

In Buffalo, we are used to snow blizzards, but I feel like I just got struck by a bullsh** blizzard of epic proportions.

And what if everybody affected just said "no" to your mandates?

There is a reason that India is not ruled by England anymore: peaceful civil disobedience led by Mohandas Gandhi.

America could learn a thing or two from that technique.
