AMHERST (WBEN) - Emergency crews were called to the Santora's Pizza location on Transit Road Saturday morning due to a kitchen fire.
Volunteers from the Main-Transit Fire Department arrived quickly and we're told most damages were confined to the kitchen space of the popular restaurant.
On Facebook, Santora's reached out to its customer base with the following statement:
The Santora family and staff are thankful to the crews from Main-Transit, East Amherst, Clarence Center, and Harris Hill fire departments who responded quickly and were able to contain the fire to the kitchen area. Most importantly, there were no injuries reported, and the staff was able to make it out of the restaurant safely.
Our team is currently working with our vendors to restore essential restaurant systems and will have additional information as the week progresses.
For individuals with scheduled banquet events ONLY at our Transit Road location, please call (716) 634-6000 and press option #3 to communicate with our Galleria location staff. Transit phone systems remain currently down. Our teams are actively reaching out to patrons with dining reservations at our Transit location to inform them of the closure.
