Lockport, N.Y. (WBEN) - A 21-year-old man is dead after crashing his motorcycle into an SUV while traveling "at an extreme rate of speed" on Fisk Road in Lockport Wednesday night, according to State Police.
Troopers responded to the scene at 8:20pm.
21-year-old Matthew Lauer of Lockport was driving his 2026 Kawasaki motorcycle east bound on Fisk when he crashed into an SUV driven by a 66-year-old heading west on the roadway. The SUV was turning into a driveway when it was struck by Lauer's motorcycle.
The driver of the SUV suffered minor injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
