26 Shirts surpasses $1 Million raised for local families and charities

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Founder of 26 Shirts Del Reid was not expecting to hit the milestone until February, but not long after the Buffalo Bills clinched their first Division title in a quarter century he was able to share some big news.

"It's a great surprise that we had show up over the past couple of weeks," Reid said. "We're really proud to be able to say we've raised over $1 Million for families in need and charitable causes."

26 Shirts sells limited edition sports-themed t-shirts that each benefit a specific charitable cause or family. It's another illustration of how sports fandom can help out the community.

"All of our shirts have to do with either the teams that represent the community or the city itself, and it's a great way to show your pride in the things that you love that represent where you live," Reid said. "At the same time you're helping a family or charity that's connected to that same place."

The company's latest design, 'How Buffalo Took the Division,' is being sold right now to benefit the family of Jason Patten, who is suffering from Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy. The shirt can be found HERE.
