CLARENCE, N.Y. (WBEN).....With more than three months to go in the year, Clarence has already tied the number of homes that have sold for more than $1 million in that northern Erie County suburban town.
In a filing recorded on Sept. 8, a nearly constructed home at 5658 Dorothy Circle in the Cannon Woods subdivision within the Clarence Center hamlet sold for $1,225,377.
The deal is the 30th, this year, where a Clarence private residence sold for more than the $1 million threshold - a key economic indicator within the region's residential real estate industry.
Last year, Clarence had 30 homes sell for more than $1 million.
The Cannon Woods deal marks the 85th home in Erie County, this year, to surpass the $1 million sales mark.
Erie County is pacing towards 110 homes, this year, selling for more than $1 million - which will set a new benchmark and passing last year's record of 105 homes going for north of $1 million.
Clarence is leading all Erie County municipalities with 30 $1 million-plus home sales this year followed by 24 in Orchard Park and 12 in Amherst.
