Buffalo, NY (WBEN) A Buffalo man is getting five years probation for stealing a fire truck as well as alcohol from a restaurant in Buffalo.
26-year-old Yassin A. Abdikadir admitted to stealing the fire truck in July.
The truck was found abandoned at Delaware and Allen in the late night hours of July 14th.
Abdikadir also pleaded guilty to one count of attempted burglary in a separate indictment. Earlier that day, he broke into a restaurant on the 200 block of Ellicott Street, breaking a lock of a storage cabinet and stealing about 50 bottles of alcohol valued at approximately $2,000.
Abdikadir was ordered to stay away from the restaurant. The matter was returned to Judicial Diversion Program before Buffalo City Court Judge Barbara Johnson-Lee for adjudication.
