AMHERST, N.Y. (WBEN).....Amherst continues its recent residential real estate hot streak with its fourth million dollar-plus home sale reported in the past month.
A three bedroom patio home at 103 Brockton Ridge in the tony Greythorne subdivision - developed by Marrano Homes - sold for $1.2 million after being on the market for less than 10 days.
The deal is Erie County's 76th, this year, where a private residence sold for more than $1 million - a key economic benchmark within the region's residential real estate industry.
For Amherst, it is the 11th home this year to sell for north of the $1 million threshold.
Last year, Amherst had 18 homes sell for more than $1 million.
Erie County is on a pace to record at least 109 homes sell for more than $1 million, which four more than last year's record 105 houses, patio homes and condos to sell for above the $1 million residential real estate benchmark.
Amherst, this year, has the third most $1 million-plus home sales trailing only neighboring Clarence's 26 $1 million-plus home sales and Orchard Park's 22 $1 million-plus home sales.
