CLARENCE, N.Y. (WBEN)......For the second time in recent days, a Rockledge Drive house in Clarence's tony Spaulding Lake subdivision has sold and it went for north of $1 million.
And, Erie County is pacing towards another record year for the sale of homes going for above the key $1 million threshold.
In the latest deal, a five-bedroom, 4,300-square-foot house at 5027 Rockledge Drive sold for $1.19 million just days after another five-bedroom house at 5093 Rockledge Drive sold for $1.34 million.
Overall, the Town of Clarence has seen 20 homes, thus far this year, sell for more than $1 million.
That means Clarence's $1 million-plus home sales account for nearly 37% of all those recorded this year in Erie County.
Orchard Park is second with 19 home sales that exceed the $1 million sales mark.
Erie County has seen 55 homes, this year, sell for above the key economic threshold of $1 million. That translates to $1 million-plus home sale every 3.5 days being recorded in the Erie County Clerk's office.
At that rate, Erie County is now pacing for 104 home sales that are north of the $1 million mark - a key economic indicator in the local residential real estate industry.
Last year, Erie County recorded 105 home sales that exceeded the $1 million benchmark. Last year's sales set a new Erie County record.
