Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Two nights, back-to-back, at Highmark Stadium in Buffalo in April.
"This isn't something that a lot of artists do, or can do," said Liz Mantel from WBEN's sister station, 107.7 The Wolf on Thursday.
Mantel gives country music star Luke Combs a lot of credit. She can think of only two others who could pull off something of this magnitude, Kenny Chesney and Taylor Swift.
To that point, Mantel says it shows that Buffalo is a big market.
"People forget that we are just a drive away from Toronto. This is a great location because we pull from Cleveland as well," she said.
Mantel thinks Combs, one of country music's biggest talents, is going to get pretty close to a sell out both nights for his "Growin' Up and Gettin' Old Tour" on April 19 and 20.
She said Friday night, Combs is doing more of an Americana set. Saturday night is more mainstream.
Special guests for the Friday night shows include Cody Jinks, The Avett Brothers, Charles Wesley Godwin, Hailey Whitters and The Wilder Blue. The Saturday show will feature Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny, Drew Parker and Colby Acuff.
Combs leads nominations for the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards.
"He's up for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Record of the Year. 'Fast Car' is probably one of the biggest songs of the year. You can't get bigger than Luke Combs right now," added Mantel.
Combs is putting on a tailgate before Saturday's show. It's called the Jack Daniel's Luke Combs Tailgate Party, starting at 3 p.m. ET. There will be live music, as well as beer and food available to purchase.
The Wolf crew will be set up there as well.
Tickets to Luke Combs are available here.
