Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - One of the most notable Democrats in Congress is making a stop to Western New York later this week.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY-14) is traveling to Buffalo on Thursday, where she's expected to meet with Mayor Sean Ryan at City Hall in the afternoon.
Later in the day, Ocasio-Cortez will host an organizing training focused on turning out inactive voters. Her office says the event is part of an initiative she's leading to boost turnout in Democratic strongholds by targeting inactive voters who have not cast a ballot in the past two-consecutive federal elections, and whose voter files are at risk of being purged if they do not reactivate.
