Prosecutors say McBroom was inside Club Marcella on Feb. 12 when he opened fire, killing 21-year-old Jorge Garcia Leon. Two other people were injured by gunfire.
McBroom was located in South Buffalo where he was arrested on a warrant for a sealed indictment and is scheduled to return to court on April 18 for a pre-trial conference. He was held without bail.
Following the arrest, Erie County District Attorney John Flynn told reporters he was concerned about the level of security inside Club Marcella based on surveillance footage that is part of the case. "The evidence that we have shows that the shooter was able to walk in the club with the weapon. Potentially twice."
If convicted of the highest charge, McBroom faces a maximum sentence of 50 years-to-life in prison.
