Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) - A man has been charged following a stabbing in the area of Princeton Avenue and Windermere Boulevard in Amherst Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to the scene around 5:35pm and found a man with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to ECMC with non-life threatening injuries.
Roderick Pettway Jr, 37, of Tonawanda was identified as the suspect and arrested at his home.
Pettway Jr. is charged with 2nd degree Assault (felony) and 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon (misdemeanor). He's currently being held pending arraignment in Amherst town court.
