Amherst, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Tonawanda man has been charged following a stabbing in the area of Princeton Avenue and Windermere Boulevard in Amherst on Sunday afternoon.
Officers responded to the scene at around 5:35 p.m. and found a man with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to Erie County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
37-year-old Roderick Pettway Jr. was identified as the suspect and arrested at his home.
Pettway Jr. is charged with second-degree Assault (felony) and fourth-degree Criminal Possession of a Weapon (misdemeanor). He's currently being held pending arraignment in Amherst Town Court.
