Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - GoBike Buffalo is asking for the community's help after thousands of dollars worth of bikes and other equipment were stolen from 98 Colvin Community Bicycle shop.
Kevin Heffernan with GoBike says the incident happened sometime between Monday night and Tuesday Morning.
"We found pieces of stolen property scattered across the rail line, which led us to believe that this had to have been multiple people that parked a truck on the opposite end of the rail line and were able to go in and out one of those side windows. It was really unfortunate, because we need those tools, we need those parts, and we really wanted to give away those bikes. That Colvin shop is really a community center, and that was a major step back," stated Keffernan in an interview with WBEN.
Heffernan says a police report was filed shortly after employees found the shop in disarray.
