Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Bills fans will be the stars of a new docu-series premiering next month on Tubi.
"Just One Before I Die" will take a look at Bills fans riding the highs and lows with the team through the decades, highlighting their tailgate traditions and unshakeable faith.
Series co-director Kevin Polowy says he entered the project years ago with one question in mind.
"Why do we keep doing this to ourselves?" said Polowy on Monday with WBEN. "Why do we invest so much emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually all these things? Why do we keep doing this to ourselves?"
Through interviews with fans, former players and local celebrities, he said he found the answer.
""It's about more than the game," Polowy said. "When you're rooting for the Bills you're not just rooting for the team, you're not just rooting for players, it's civic pride. You're rooting for the city you grew up in. A city that has gone through so many tough times and decades and has become a punch line, but yet we have so much pride in Buffalo."
All five episodes of Just One Before I Die are set to debut on the free streaming platform on Oct. 21.
