Bills fans reminded to wear masks, arrive at assigned time

Early entry window will be in place starting at 11am

Bills Stadium

Orchard Park, NY (WBEN) Some 6,700 Bills fans will be in attendance for Saturday's game vs. the Colts. The Bills are offering reminders to arrive on time at your assigned gate, and wear your masks inside the stadium.

Andy Major with the Bills says timed entry will start at 11:30am, with 10 minute intervals. "They'll come in at one of those specified gates at a specific time, all staggered until about 10 minutes before kickoff," says Major. "They'll come in and park. There's no tailgating allowed, and they should go right to the gate at the assigned time. If they're a couple minutes late, we'll still take care of them," noting fans were tremendous about coming on time for COVID testing earlier this week.

Major says fans will need to bring their negative COVID test along with their ticket. "We'll match that up with their identification at the gate, then let them go through the screening process. Then, they'll have their tickets scanned for entry at the gate," says Major.

An early arrival window has been built in for fans who want to show up early. They can go to their assigned gate between 11:00-11:30am, says Major. He does note the boulevard and special concessions will not be open like last year. "The menu will be the same all throughout the stadium. It's all geared at keeping fans safe in their seated area," says Major.

Major says it will be of utmost importance for fans to wear masks at all times. "The only time you don't have to wear a mask is if you're taking a bite or sipping a drink. Even when you're chewing and swallowing we expect fans to wear a mask," says Major. "We know it's different and strict, but this is what got us to this point in allowing fans." Guest services and security will provide friendly reminders, but there will be little tolerance for not wearing the mask.

Kickoff is set for 1pm.
