Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) It's the most hyped matchup of the season. The Divisional round clash between the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in Orchard Park.
A defining game for both teams.
The Bills have yet to advance from the Divisional round the last few years.
Lamar Jackson has yet to win a road playoff game in his career.
"It's an extremely big game for both teams and both quarterbacks," said
Bills radio analyst, and former Center, Eric Wood on WBEN Thursday.
It is the second time the two teams meet this season after a 35-10 Baltimore blowout in week 4.
Wood said a lot has changed for the Bills since then. They have new weapons to stop Derrick Henry.
"They have a bunch of different guys back on defense. Taron Johnson was out. Terrell Bernard was out. Matt Milano was out. All with an injuries. Those guys should be a major factor in this game." Look, this Baltimore offense is excellent. One of the best in the league. This is a game where both teams are heading into the game understanding that you're not going to score 20 points
for the win. I believe you're going to have to be in the high 20's for either team to win," he said.
Sunday's forecast is for frigid air. Kickoff temperature expected to be 15 degrees. Down to 10 degrees by the fourth quarter. Wind chills near zero.
"Weather affects both teams," explained Wood. "Buffalo is likely a little more acclimated for it. The ball gets a little slick and its harder," he explained.
Wood noted that as Lamar Jackson has gotten more experience, and has played in more cold weather games, he's been in enough of them to understand it.
Overall, he thinks the Orchard Park elements should favor the Bills since they're in that atmosphere more often.
