(WBEN) - Some Bills fans are experiencing sticker shock while looking to buy tickets for the first game at the new stadium.

The NFL announced the first game at the new Highmark Stadium will be played Thursday, September 17 in a Week Two meeting with Detroit. Already, tickets on the secondary market for that game are being offered up for anywhere between $600-$800.

Once the full schedule is released on Thursday, single game tickets will go on sale at the new stadium for the first time. There are a lot of unknowns as to how that may look.

"We don't know," said Nick Giamusso, Owner of VIPTix. "We know that there's 60,000 seats in the new stadium, how many tickets are going to become available to the general public?"

Unknowns don't just include how many seats will be available and where, but also how many standing room tickets the team may sell on any given week and what the price point may be. Standing room was not an option at the old stadium, but it will be at the new one.

Almost regardless to the answer to those questions, people should expect to pay a significant amount to get into the new stadium in its first year.

"Right now we're seeing prices in the secondary market of $650 and up," Giamusso said. "If you want to sit on the 50 yard line, lower level, you're almost talking $2,000 and up. Buffalo fans ave experienced sticker shock with the Sabres, and now we're rolling into the Bills."
