East Aurora, NY (WBEN) - The Borderland Music Festival is back in East Aurora this weekend.
The music begins Friday afternoon and goes through Sunday night. Headliner Jack White will take the stage Saturday.
Now in its eighth year, Borderland has grown from a small celebration of music into a festival that has been attracting big names and fans from all over the country.
"We were told by so many agents that we're this third-tier market, we're not big enough to carry a festival like this," said Borderland founder Jenn Brazill. "Since then, over these last five to six years we've really grown into a huge music market."
The festival and its setting at Knox Farm State Park has something to do with that.
"It's so unique," Brazil said. "The bands stand on stage and they look directly at a 105 year old stable building. It's so beautiful and special."
"They're playing all these major festivals and a lot of corporate stuff, and I think they really feel what we've created here at Borderland. They go back and talk to their teams and so the reputation spreads within the industry that we're a good place to spend the day."
Certain festival tickets are still available HERE.
