Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A teacher at Buffalo Public School 79 has been placed on paid administrative leave after they "inadvertently gave two students edible gummies," according to a statement from the district.
The incident happened on April 1st. Both students were sent to the hospital for evaluation. The district says their parents were immediately notified.
The district says it's "committed to protecting the health and well-being of its students." Their statement added that additional information can't be released due to confidentiality but that the incident was taken "extremely seriously."
