Buffalo, NY (WBEN) The Catholic Diocese of Buffalo has placed another priest on leave and launched an investigation.
The Diocese says it has received a complaint of inappropriate comments communicated to a minor by Father Patryk Sobczyk. Bishop Michael W. Fisher has placed Fr. Sobczyk on administrative leave as an investigation is underway.
Prior to being placed on leave, Fr. Sobczyk
was parochial vicar at St. John the Baptist Church, Alden, N.Y. and St. Maximilian Kolbe, Corfu, N.Y.
The diocese says this administrative leave is for the purpose of investigation and does not imply any determination as to the truth or falsity of the complaint.
