Buffalo man arrested after pair of burglaries earlier this week

Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - Buffalo Police announced on Friday the arrest of a 21-year-old Buffalo man following an investigation into two burglaries in the city's South District earlier in the week.

Nicholas Marinaro of Buffalo was arrested and has been charged with the following:


- Two counts of Burglary in the Third Degree (Class "D" felony)
- One count of Criminal Mischief in the Second Degree (Class "D" felony)
- One count of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree (Class "A" misdemeanor)
- One count of Petit Larceny (Class "A" misdemeanor)
- Two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree

The first burglary took place on Monday when the owner of a business on the 2100 block of Seneca Street reported the theft of food, and interior damage to his business.

Then on Wednesday, a complainant was reported of money that was stolen from the charity box at St. Jude's Episcopal Church on Macamley Street.

South District detectives immediately began an investigation and a single suspect was identified in both incidents. Upon apprehension of the suspect, he was found to have a crack pipe and a small amount of heroin in his possession.
