Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo man has been charged with second degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child and second degree harassment after he allegedly assaulted a 9-year-old boy.
Police say a witness called shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 when they saw a man drop off an injured child outside of an address in the city. The boy had a black eye, large lump on his head and other bruising. He was taken to Children's Hospital by AMR.
When officers made contact with the boy's mother they learned she had also been assaulted by the suspect, 49-year-old Robert Testa of Buffalo.
The mother told officers that when she got home from work she found her son in a corner crying with injuries. When she tried leaving the house with the boy the suspect allegedly hit her, shoved her in a closet, kicked the boy and left the house with him.
Testa was arrested in the 200 block of S. Ogden Street without incident.
