Buffalo, N.Y. (WBEN) - A Buffalo man will serve 25 years in prison for causing the death of his girlfriend's baby.
21-year-old Nasir Jackson pleaded guilty to one count of Manslaughter in connection with the death of seven-month-old Ocean Reed back in December of 2021. Jackson was caring for Reed, who was unresponsive when he was taken to Kenmore Mercy Hospital, where he later died from the injuries.
The Erie County Medical Examiner's Office determined the child died from blunt force trauma to his head and neck.
